National monument from 1626 in Hattem, now ready for the future

In the heart of Hattem, Bosch & Nagelhout chose BENGglas® to make this National Monument from 1626 more sustainable. This prepares the building for the future without compromising its historical appearance.

Because BENGglas fits in the existing window frames, the original appearance was preserved. At the same time, comfort and energy performance have been significantly improved. A fine example of how modern insulation glass makes monumental buildings future-proof.

Historic heritage made sustainable with BENG glass in Herentals

The Lakenhal, a historic monument in the heart of Herentals (Belgium), will soon be equipped with BENGglas® — a next step in the sustainable preservation of protected heritage. Originally built as a cloth hall for traders, this centuries-old building remains one of the most recognizable buildings in the city.

For this project, BENGglas® Single Coated was chosen — color-neutral vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40. This glass insulates three times better than HR++ glass, without modifications to the existing frames.

Proglass makes Villa Zonnekamp in Bussum more sustainable

At Groot Hertoginnelaan 30 in Bussum, Proglass worked together with contractor Eveloc on a special project: villa Zonnekamp. This beautiful villa is a municipal monument with a rich history and a unique location at the edge of the forest.

For this project, Proglass installed no less than 132 BENGglas Extra Clear windows. To maintain the authentic appearance, the frames were carefully milled out so that the original interior bars could remain. Then the new windows were installed and fitted with a sleek new bar division, which they expertly glued and sealed.

The result: modern comfort and top insulation, while the classic charm of the villa remains completely intact.

Villa Zonnekamp is thus an example of how Proglass knows how to combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary quality and innovation.

Unique: vacuum glass with stained glass!

In Laren, a remarkable monument has been preserved in a way you rarely see: BENGglas® combined with stained glass. In consultation with the monuments commission, Bosch & Nagelhout beautifully designed this project and in their own workshop provided both the interior and exterior panes with lead. After installation, everything was carefully patinated, giving it that authentic, weathered appearance right away.

In total, more than 70 windows have been replaced, from single glazing to vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40. This significantly reduces energy demand while preserving the monumental appearance.

This project shows that sustainability and heritage conservation can go hand in hand – even in places where you wouldn't immediately expect it.

Historic city center of Amersfoort opts for BENG glass

Proglass has once again made a beautiful building more sustainable with BENGglas – this time together with Evident Bouw, in the middle of the historic city center of Amersfoort. The result? So impressive that the neighbors immediately submitted a request as well.

The residents now enjoy noticeably lower energy costs and maximum living comfort. Silence in the house, a delightful indoor climate, and that all year round.

BENGglas: perfect for roof glazing

In this hotel, BENGglas was chosen as a sustainable solution for roof glazing. A smart choice, because vacuum glass offers unique advantages here:

BENGglas retains its excellent U-value, even when placed horizontally, is thin and lightweight allowing for lighter roof constructions, and does not experience a decline in insulation value over the years. With an expected lifespan of 50 years, this is the solution for those who want to invest in the future.
