The first floor had single glazing (U=5.8), and the ground floor had old-fashioned thermopane (U=2.8). These have all been replaced with super-smart vacuum glass from BENGglas with a U-value of 0.40.

The result? Much warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer, and a lower energy bill. And the best part: the character of the building remains beautifully intact.

Thanks to the slim thickness of just 8.3 mm, the glass fits perfectly into the existing frames. That saves costs and ensures that the authentic appearance of the home remains as it was.

Extra nice: BENGglas dampens sound up to 36 dB, prevents cold spots, and lets in about 15% more natural light than triple glass. Comfort without compromise.
